Motivational speech when I became a chief guest at a school inauguration
It was a wonderful experience I had when I was invited as a chief guest at a school. The school was organized by 3 best friends, we were working in a school together, Mr. Chandan, Mr. Manoj, and Ms. Asha, Science, Mathematics, and Hindi teachers, and I was an English teacher.
Our dream was to give the best English school in that area, and that thought was connected with the dream of the poor parents and their passion for educating their children was going to be a success, regarding that school, we have discussed many times with those parents.

Introduction
When we were teaching in a private school, we had a plan to open our own school; in the meanwhile, I had completed my MBA and was selected as an Assistant Professor in a management college. But the plan of opening a school was not stopped, however, I was not part of the friend's group, finally, my friends were able to open a school in south Delhi.
My friends were really very
dedicated to their mission, and they did all that we thought
jointly, but I could not be the partner of that school, our dream was to open such
a school where most of the students would be from poor families. Finally, the
school opened and I was invited as a chief guest to deliver the motivational
speech.
How did we get
together?
Actually, we were
working together in a school, where we saw the problems of the students
of poor families, how they used to arrange the fees of the school, what kind of
problems they had to face, and sometimes the behavior of the Principal was very
rude if the fee is not paid on time, she used to send the children back to home.
What to do, if a child doesn't like to go to school
People used to come to me and share with me, such as they had no jobs, were not able to pay fees for that month, etc. I requested many times from their side to the school authorities to be given some extension of time to pay late. The principal agreed but used to charge a fine the next month.
These were the
situations we had seen there in the school, we all were experts in our fields,
so we planned to open a school, where no fee would be taken from those who were
financially weak, but if their children were intelligent, we must think for
those children.
The most important
matter was that their parents also wanted to educate their children in an
English medium school. And even they were ready to pay the fee if time was
given to them. Therefore we decided to open a school with no fees for the poor. But
I was not with them at that time when they finally opened their school.
Inauguration of the
school
At the inauguration of the school I was invited there, and our dream succeeded; my friends finally opened a school. Their hard work was appreciated by all the people in that area. I and my friends promised the parents of the students, more thousands of people would be there. How does the surrounding affect children
Our dream was to give the best English school in that area, and that thought was connected with the dream of the poor parents and their passion for educating their children was going to be a success. Regarding that school, we have discussed it many times with those parents.
Most of them were
thinking that I was also the partner of that school as per my previous
discussion with them. Believing in my
speech, there were 400 student admissions confirmed on the inauguration day.
That was the people’s faith in me, and my promise to the people. The
establishment of that school was going to be a great help to the children of poor families.
As Chief Guest on School
Anniversary
After one year on the anniversary of the school, the day when I was invited over there as a chief guest. The chief guest must deliver a motivational speech to the public only, but I was not prepared for that, just before one day I was called by Mr. Manoj the mathematics teacher, “Sir you are cordially invited as a chief guest on the auspicious occasion of our schools’ anniversary tomorrow”.
It was the happiest moment
for me, and I was proud of my friends that they had not forgotten me, I
accepted with heart, and without any preparation, I attempted the anniversary
day of school. Before going on the stage, I met many people, parents, and
a group of teachers.
The messages I deliver
to the audience
It was the first time when I was invited as chief guest, but I didn’t feel any hesitation over there. I was feeling at home because my dream came true there, and I had promised to the parents of the children, that had been proven by my friends. I was thankful to all the teachers; they have completed the wonderful mission of our combined dream. And I congratulated all the teachers and the parents.
Motivation to the
parents of the children
As a chief guest, my motivational
suggestion to the parents was, that the success of the school is not only our dream
but their desire made us think over the students who wanted to study but
there was no indication to get success in their life. And the parent’s dedication
toward better education for their children turns us to plan to open a school.
We thought about the
plan to make it a success because the parents realized that education is for
all, but only the rich people are achieving it, and the rights of the talented poor
students are not recognized by the people.
Motivation is our personal need / Motivation for all
I spoke about the story of an Indian mathematics Educator, and also told them, that we were inspired by Mr. Anand Kumar of Patna, Bihar who prepared 30 poor students and made their dream success by appearing in the IIT-JEE entrance exams, and all of them qualified and called supper thirty. Even a film is made on his biography. It was a big success.
And now I am also inspired by a famous teacher "Khan Sir" who has made a record of teaching thousands of students preparing for UPSC and other government exams online. But our step was very small. We also want to discover talented students from our area from poor families. This was our motto, and it is going to be a success, with clear determination and inspiration.
Suggestions to the
other parents
I also requested all the people who are financially in a better position and are paying a good amount of fees to the school. I suggested to them not to think that the school is for the poor only, but we need their help to develop the overall qualities of all the children of the school, they will be given equal opportunities to give their best, they have always been recognized as if they have the best quality to achieve success.
And I also discussed
that the school has lots of other plans for the students, who are good in
sports, and extracurricular activities. Students have lots of opportunities to
grow their talent in singing, music, art, dance, and sports. And many quiz
competitions will be organized, where the chances are to attempt completion
with other schools.
How to motivate children for sports and games?
Writing this article is a different type of experience for me, whatever we did for the development of the poor people, and what we have been doing, is a different type of feeling and pleasure. Even though I am not working in that school my friends always regard me, and they always ask me about my further plans for the school.
But one thing they have not stopped yet, It has been fixed that every year 25 students will be free of cost. But the criteria are students have to qualify for the exams and the parent’s income should not be more than one lack annually.
Conclusion
This school is still running on rent; about 700 students are studying in that school. The classes are from NUR to 10th standard only. Even during the lockdown, they have managed all classes online.
I would like to say to the
readers, if you have any dream of making your own business, the dream must be with the motive of helping society to promote humanity, social work, and helping poor people, that will be a success, and this motivation will be continuing forever.
