Delhi Teachers University is established in 2022, in Delhi, India, during the political period of the Aam Admi Party’s Chief Minister of Delhi, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal. The Indian education policy has been implemented under the leadership. ‘Delhi Teachers University’ is going to be a center for excellence in the teachers' profession.

This University will provide four years of degree in integrated teachers' education programs with graduation. This will be a bachelor's degree in education along with graduation in related subjects. Basically, this university will provide training to the teachers of a new generation. Students will be provided excellent practice, and research, engaging with the dynamic concept of world-class quality education with workshops and laboratories.     

This policy will provide an equal chance of quality education to all the children in government schools. The government has provided all the infrastructure and curriculum in government schools. Most of the schools have been developed with all-new infrastructure. This University is going to be the best educational training  University for providing the best education in India.

The aim of Delhi Teachers University is to provide quality education to the students of government schools because teachers are most important for the overall development of education policy. This has happened because there was a great difference between private schools and government schools’ education systems.

Delhi Teachers University will be a center for excellence in teachers' preparation, as a leadership program for the teachers of Delhi. There will be four years of integrated teachers' education programs with graduation. It will be for a new generation of teachers. Students will be provided with excellent laboratories and workshops for practices and research that will be engaging with the dynamic concept of quality education.    

This education policy has been implemented because there was a great difference between private schools and government schools’ education policies and teaching systems. This government will provide an equal chance of quality education to all the children of the Government schools and will work for the development of the society of the poor people of the state. Their motive is that quality education is not for limited people that must reach all, everyone has the right to education.

The motive of the university is to develop the education of government schools free of cost. This government is planning to upgrade poor students who can develop themselves and want to upgrade, their dreams are hidden due to low-value education in government schools. As you know that all the government schools are based on the free education policy. The training will be based on a 70% training process and 30% on practical-based teaching education in schools. Along with the training, teachers will teach practically in government schools with all responsibilities as a teacher.

The main concept of this education policy is that trained teachers will provide the best quality education in government schools so free-of-cost education must be given to the poor students of society. Their motive is to develop society, and the state and country will be automatically developed. 

Creating competitions with private schools

This is well known that Delhi's model of education has been appreciated all over India, Education has been divided into many groups, and a different group has been organized to teach weaker students at their level of understanding. Special classes have been organized for the preparation of projects and exams. And the result percentage of last year, the government schools were found to be better than private schools.

This policy will work to develop the students and prepare them for facing IIT, JEE, and CPMT entrance exams, in this process most of the institutions are charging a large amount as coaching fees, and poor students are not able to pay, this will create competition into private schools and institutions.

The motive of the Delhi model of education is to make the students entrepreneurs, and job givers, not job seekers. There are different types of projects and business planning is provided to brilliant students. Schools are providing opportunities to talented students, talent is everywhere, Government schools are providing the chance to show their talent, and helping them to upgrade.
