There is no bad habit that you cannot give up. The reason is that no person learns bad habits on his own, he gets inspiration from somewhere, whether it is from friendship or bad company, and the person becomes a victim of bad habits.

Bad habits are the effect of bad company, which some people learn through friendship in student life, some learn during training, and some people also learn with a job.

In students' lives, we do not understand good and bad, only those who show sympathy become friends, and we get to know later whether he is good or bad. Childhood friends or friendships from student life are often left behind after we grow up, but their bad habits remain with us, which we call the effect of bad company.  10 Daily habits to boot your outlook about life.

Gandhiji's formula

A child was a great devotee of Mahatma Gandhi, he believed in everything that Gandhiji said. That child used to eat a lot of jaggery. One day the mother of that child took him to Gandhiji and said, “Bapuji, my child eats a lot of jaggery, he respects you a lot, if you advise him once not to eat jaggery every day then perhaps he will stop eating jaggery. Gandhiji told the woman, “You bring this child after a week.”

The woman agreed to his request and after a week she went to Gandhiji with the child and said, “Bapuji, my son eats a lot of jaggeries, you told me to come after a week, once you tell him not to eat too much jaggery, then maybe he will not eat jaggery.”

Gandhiji told that child, “Eating jaggery is not a bad thing, but eating jaggery daily is also not a good habit, leave it.” The child's mother asked Gandhiji, "Bapuji, you could have said this at that time also, but why did you call after a week?"

Gandhiji replied, “Yes, you are right, I could have told the child at that time also, but I did not, because I also ate jaggery every day, I first tried it myself to see whether I could give up jaggery or not. I have not eaten jaggery for a week. When I can give up jaggery, this child can also give up. This was just an example, we can give up any of our bad habits.

​ Clear determination

You should have a clear determination in your mind, no work is impossible, a person can do anything. What is determination? And how is it brought? To understand this, before leaving any work, one has to understand its pros and cons properly.

Any work which you feel embarrassed about doing, which seems like a crime, which makes you feel insulted, that work should be abandoned, if it has more disadvantages than advantages.

But many people consider it against their dignity to give up bad habits. Because their friends insult them, like smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol, etc. This task may be very difficult for you but it is not impossible either.

You will have to make a strong resolve, that is, you will have to pledge that you can do it. You are not in control of anything.

You are a human being, a very good and respectable person, you have achieved a position with a lot of hard work, you have given up many bad habits, and you have struggled a lot in life.

 If you have made many sacrifices in life, then what is this cigarette? If you want, you can give up any bad habit. Just strong determination is needed.

Prepare mentally

Controlling your mind is a common thing, but many people are not able to do it. They are afraid, they have made their mind weak. When you try hard to get something and when you don't get that thing, you leave it.

For example, if you feel like eating something but your budget does not allow it, then you compromise. And forget that food item. Similarly, if you want, you can give up cigarettes, drinks, or any intoxicating or bad habits. You can try it for the first few days. Nothing is impossible

You cannot give up any habit completely but you can try. For the first few days, you can practice for alternate days.

Then you can practice on alternate days, i.e. weekends, and then gradually you can do it once in 15 days and then once in a month and sometimes more. In this way, you can gradually give up completely.

Before giving up bad habits, it is important to know that whatever bad habits you have, you have to accept them. Unless you accept from your heart, what bad habit do you have? You cannot abandon it.

Often people do not consider some habits as bad habits, they believe that this is not a bad habit at all, and everyone does it. Its bad influence has to be understood, no one is ready to accept what is the bad habit in it? Unless you accept that it is a bad habit, you cannot cure it. To leave it, one has to set a goal and work in that direction.

Eating sweets is not a bad habit but for those who are diabetic patients, it’s a bad habit for them. Instead of sweets, you can eat something else, which does not contain sugar.

Stay away from bad friends

Sometimes even the influence of friendship does not let you give up a bad habit. Your friends may be the ones who adopt bad habits to stay with them. Don't want to give up those bad habits because of friendship.

Well, quitting a bad habit is not as difficult as people think. The reason is that no person is completely capable of himself, he gets inspiration from somewhere, and only then does he do that work. Bad habits are mostly the effect of the company.

Some friends are also good, who always support, us and our companions in happiness and sorrow. But some of their habits are bad. Like partying every Saturday, and Sunday, and smoking cigarettes for status, these habits never go away.

If you have to leave such friends, you will have to leave them by giving up their friendship. You will be able to miss their company only by leaving the party every Saturday and Sunday. Because if you do not attend the party of such friends, then they will not invite you to the party again. Because such friends are mostly just wasting their time in fun and enjoyment.


It is very easy to give up bad habits, provided there is a desire to do so. There is no habit that you cannot give up. Only your strong determination and curiosity to adopt good things can help you get rid of bad habits. Your efforts should be steadfast and gradually you can easily give up any bad habit.

The ongoing crisis has changed our lives, all of us have learned a new way of living, being at home, and only stepping out for essential work to maintain distance. Let’s have a look at what we have learned from lockdown, and how it impacts other lives.

During lockdown, we have learned a new way of living, step out for only essential work. Lockdown has a great impact on our lives. we have learned a lot of things like paying attention to every small thing has its importance. The most important is we know the value of money, and how to manage everything in a pandemic situation.

We have also learned the value of money and how to face a financial crisis if all the resources closed suddenly. Shops, markets, offices, and industries everything stopped for a long period. What should we do in that critical situation, how to live with family, how to manage a low-paid salary, and what to do if we have no bank balance? We have not only learned financial management but also learned how to step forward if we don’t have a job. This period has changed the lives of people. 

We saw there are two categories of people job creators and job seekers. Jobseekers are only dependent on the jobs but job creators are the entrepreneurs. During the lockdown, job creators have tried their best and created many jobs for people that can be done from home. We have learned from the job creators who have not only created resources for their own businesses but they have also helped job seekers.         

Sense of Patience

We used to run out of homes on the roads for different types of work, sometimes even without important work before the pandemic. The lockdown has implemented a sense of patience in humans. There are several benefits of patience, this experience is lesser negative emotions, depression, and anxiety. Working from home teaches us to help each other’s work.

There are lots of works that could be managed from home but we didn't try before the pandemic. Lockdown taught us how we can do all these without running out. With a sense of patience, we have learned all the things that can be possible from home, studies, training, shopping, and payments can be managed from home. We have implemented a sense of patience during the lockdown.  

Attention to every little thing

We have not ever noticed in life,  that there are so many little things that have no importance to us, such as medical staff, police, information technology, and the creativity of people. The lockdown has taught us how we have to take care of everything.

·       Gratefulness of Medical staff and health care worker

It was not been identified and recognized by the people, that doctors nurses, scientists, hospital staff, and healthcare workers are important to us. During lockdown, these people have shown their importance. How their work has been appreciated by the whole world. Police have been seen working for us with full dedication, they became the real heroes of the nation, feeding food to poor families, advising them to be at home, and promising everyone that they are always out of home for our safety and security. Their dedication needs to be managed continuously as the value of the Army. They will get great respect if they follow their duty as they did during lockdown.

· IT Engineers help people 

The IT sector has created its importance in providing essential services to set every as normal through online processes. Their work will remain for many years. It has connected people throughout the world. The IT Engineers were always there to help and provide essential online services to manage everything from home.  Information Technology created its Importance

·      Organization came together to help everyone

Various organizations, governments, social workers, and all the countries came together help to the needy throughout the world, and the whole world became one to fight against the epidemic. They helped each other countries to save the lives of the people and we have seen unity during the lockdown.

·      Creativity during lockdown   

Everyone has tried to do creative works from home, and many of us have taught people how to be happy and be connected wishing for the best for everyone as a unity of the world was unique. Physical health practices, the art of writing, creative art, and so on. That creativity has been done during lockdown that is not for the period only that can be utilized as your hobby and may convert into business and passion.

What we have learned from family

The first experience we learned during lockdown was that we spent our maximum time with our family members, and not only spent time but also got connected with all our relatives, we kept advising them not to worry, and that everything would be all right.

Our phone was the only medium to get in touch with our relatives, friends, and loved ones, who were far away from us, but they were in touch with phones. Even though some members were out of the country, they also returned back to their native countries. During the pandemic, we learned how our family members were important to us, and all our relatives also got together through phone calls and video calls.  

How we have learned the value of money

We have learned the value of money, we would not have even thought that such situations may occur suddenly, we were jobless and we have no bank balance, how difficult was our life in that situation. Lockdown teaches us that we must save some amount of money for the crisis period to survive.

Thousands of people were on the road and started moving on foot to their native places without money without transport. Many social workers helped out by providing food and shelter so that they could get some strength to walk on foot. That was the time people learned the value of money, if they had saved some money, they could have stayed at rent till the situation was under control.    

How to recover from the loss or damages

During the lockdown, many people have lost their family members, this loss can’t be fulfilled or recovered but at least we can think positively if it is possible with the help of government and private organizations. 

A fixed amount of money must be provided to them as compensatory help to the family members who have lost their people and are still surviving, so that their family members may live peacefully. It was due to epidemic disease, and an accidental death occurred due to COVID-19.  

We have learned how to live our lives if such a situation occurs suddenly, and the people who have started a new business to run their family need to be promoted and helped by the maximum number of people to inspire their efforts for facing new situations.     

Role of the IT sector during lockdown

Information Technology has played an important role during pandemics, as per the situation most schools and colleges have been converted into online classes. Through Zoom or Google Meet, the IT got connected with all the teachers and students online for study. Android phones were used mostly during lockdown for the supplies of essential items. 

In this way, digital marketing took place for all these businesses, online meetings, online training, examinations, and so on, have been developed by the IT sector.

The work of Android phones has been done by computers, all the people sitting at home were connected through Google Meet and Zoom. Information technology

The IT sector has made it successful and important for the people and many opportunities have been increased for jobs from home.  Digital marketing became the most successful business during the lockdown. 

Hope for the best, the situation could be normal

To come back to a situation normal, many people worked so hard and changed their thought the mind, IT sector has become important in modern times and will remain for many years. They have proved that everything could be normal. Information Technology connected people globally through their set up maintaining distance everything became normal. 

Medical research and our scientist have shown their importance with genius works to invent vaccines to save the lives of people. The eyes of the whole world were on the doctors and scientists. With their hard work day and night, finally, they succeeded in inventing vaccines and saving the lives of all.  


 Lockdown has really taught us a lot of things that will be remembered by us in the future, we have learned how to face the situation in a pandemic, how to live without money, how to live with family members, and how to do office work from home.

The IT has connected people as per their setup, and everything has become normal. We have learned through all the above processes that we should not worry about the pandemic period and be prepared to face such situations. 

We should keep control and help the people who are in contact with the disease, we must think about those who have no money to survive, we should help them financially, and motivate them to face the situation.

Be positive, self-talk, and you are self-motivated to improve your confidence, for example, if you have to eat donuts or an apple your mind will go for donuts, but you have to select the apple for a better weight loss process. If you are going to the gym and controlling your diet you need to follow the instructions of the gym trainer. If you are not following rules you are not able to focus on the training.

Distraction kills discipline, if you want to be more disciplined throughout the day you need to eradicate all distractions. All destruction is connected to the phone and kept disconnected from all network activities or social media. If you focus on the task which is on your hand this is required in daily discipline. Avoiding social media notifications is the most destructive way, it is not easy. But I need to be kept away. 

Our environment offers work, it has been researched that if you are planning for weight loss you have to keep away from that environment, compare yourself with those who are eating healthy food, not delicious food, do not bring junk food or such things at home.

keep away from that environment that distracts your mind. If you want to study, keep your environment away from destruction. Close notification of phone, do not allow anybody to enter your room, and select the place where there is no disturbance.

Clear your complaint

You need to quit complaining habits, it is a kind of disease. Every time you are complaining about many things, you need to quit distracting yourself to focus on every wrong thing, it makes others like you but makes you less and distracts you from the best way of life.

You have to know why you are preparing for the exam, if you want to be a cricketer or Zimmer or to get any position in life you have to know why you want to do that. If your reason is clear you will plan accordingly and focus on the goal with disciplinary action.

It is a very long-term decision but it will give you internal motivation, which will give you pain but fight for the upcoming target in the future. This will give you the motivation to take the pain with hard work for be disciplined for achievement. It will help you to focus.  

Create new habits

If you are not able to target focusing on the entire task criteria see discipline, you have to focus on one thing. Instead of trying to change everything you need to focus on one task constantly. Then you should try to focus on the others.

If you are not able to focus on the workout, that needs to be done for less time, 15 minutes a day. But don't avoid it for a long time.  If you want healthier food you need to avoid keeping that item at home.

Challenge your willpower

If you think you have a little willpower, that will be a little less in the future. If you can upgrade your willpower to grow and achieve at once.  Internal feelings about willpower can be determined and believed in yourself.  Then you have the extra boost of strength.  And I need to motivate myself toward the goals.

 Motivational tips to overcome academic challenges

Sometimes your entire life you have not been inspired to attend the discipline, and as per the circumstances you are motivated towards self-discipline and now trying to change everything with the requirement of self-discipline.

Many challenges will appear in your mind such as eating fewer sweets, avoiding smoking, control on your anger, for that, you need to take some time, what are the results of that angry food habit? Improve your habit and quit the habit to the limit.

8Think for some time and what is the conscience. Decide concisely and take action. Such as how I will complete my work today and how I will not eat any junk or sweet food today. The promises will change are disciplinary actions. Change your mind and accept challenges daily.

Motivation for improvement  

If you find yourself complaining the whole day, take some that remind you not to do such activities. If you can do this you will find yourself disciplined, happiest, and motivated. You need a trusted guide coach who will lead you to a disciplined life. Such as a teacher giving us the instruction to get the knowledge and attend the exams and get better marks. Motivation is our individual need

If you have followed all the steps then you will get good marks. And if not followed or destruction breaks your way then will not be able to achieve all things of discipline. We think we are doing right and the instructor will guide us no it's wrong. The best coach will identify the aspect of performance towards the goal.
